My Citroen C5 is about to die!

Well according to some geezer who made an unsolicited call to my home number recently, all sorts of impending doom will wreak havoc on my vehicle ownership. He got about 5 seconds of my time before I prevented him from getting to the sales pitch on an "out of warranty vehicle warranty":

Who's calling me on 0114 256 5286?

Ive had calls to the same effect, though for a car i had years ago. They get a similarly blunt ending.

No doubt some unsuspecting small print disclaimer clause somewhere sanctioned this when I applied for insurance or some other important utility, as I'm on the TPS. Most of our calls come through individual mobiles now, so it's very easy to ignore these desperados. But we shouldn't have to.

Today had call on my mobile and they hung up. Telephoned them back and asked to speak to a manager who assured me both numbers would be removed from their database. Well let's see. But they insist one of my insurance quote applications allowed this. So beware of any tagged forms if you would rather be let alone.

Funny, I had a similar call last week. Given that I drive a 12 year old 106, a warranty is not high on my list of priorities. I hung up. Chancers.
