Latest recruits!

Post by scottnorth »

Have now got my series 2 prestige in black, a rare one i believe, also have got a 22TRS in white F reg with black vinyl roof, nice relatively tidy car runs and goes nice motor.

So got four in all now:- series 1 TRD TURBO, series 2 GTI, series 2 22TRS and series 2 PRESTIGE.

In Black eh?! Not many about of those... I've got a fairly up to date register of the Prestige's that I got from Roger and looking at my list I've got some blanks for the Black Cars.

Unless it's one that's completely off the radar, is this cars' last four digits of the chassis number either 5217, 6314, 6323, 8395, 4501 or 8005?

Any piccies of the CXs? :-D

Evening Scott, and thanks for the info.

Looking at details for 6323, it would appear that yours is an 86 Model Year car, in Black with Tabac Blond Leather. Did you buy it from Stan Platts? :?:

Am I right in saying that I bought a CX from yourself or your Father, D100NFJ, CX25GTI AUTO in metallic blue?

Aha! I thought it was! :!: That's a big job to convert the interior to Black as you've got all of the dash, carpets, doorcards, steering wheel etc. Indeed Prestige's are pretty rare nowadays - we've a couple here - both Series 2's funnily enough!

Ah yes! You would've bought that from my dad - I think you collected it early one morning in an XM? Was a good few years ago now. Thinking about it I stumbled across some photos of that car not long ago - had the VIP interior. IIRC it was a bit cosmetically challenged but drove very well indeed.

CX gearbox?

Post by aerodynamica »

Hi all, I need a replacement gearbox for my CX c-matic, I am keen on sourcing a 5 speed manual if a good c-matic isn't available.
If a manual, it has to be the type to fit an early 2.4 engine.

Anyone have such a thing?

I could not believe my eyes when I got off the ferry at Cherbourg today with my CX Ambulance and the first French car I saw was another CX, a saloon - we both waved... On the Citroen Classic Challenge earlier this year I did not see one CX on the road in 2000+ miles...

Spare a thought for the GS/A, half as many of those compared to the CX!

Hi, pierre here. I have a 1980 cx 2400 cmatic pallas waiting to be put back on the road again. It is rouge with tan interior. Once I have the drive shaft nuts off I can get on with it.
