Hi folks.
My C5 2.0HDI has behaved quite oddly the last week. An intermittent knocking sort of noise started and it is quite frightning when it comes. It went next day untiil I drove round a bumpy road and it started again. I jacked up the car today and found a slight play (hands at 3 and 9 oclock).Passenger side is slightly worse. It seems to be the balljoints. The play amounts to about 2-3 of mm movement at the outer edge of the tyre. I intend to replace them next weekend but how unsafe is it to drive just now?
