...and then there's the stainless bumpers with their baby 1/4 corners and
rubber block overriders, the stainless tail light surrounds on the wing of the
earlier models and that gorgeous 70's honeycomb grille. The bonkers targa
seats, the drop down and slide dash arshtray, the vertical radio...

<<sigh>> oh man, I really NEED to drive one again asap!
It's been too long... :(

Oh Andrew stop teasing.

I keep looking at the G's and hoping one will turn up when I've got the XM finished. Are they very bad for rusting or just average?

Thanks.

Steve.

Nice to see something GS related on here :)

They do sound like quite a car. Ive never driven one, but have been a passenger in them a couple of times. Seem to be a very nice little car, shame Citroen didnt really replace it with another mid sized hydraulic car.

Rust? I think thats why there are very, very few left ...

Criminally, they make a really good job of rusting. :(
Your answer for a rustfree(ish) G is an early LHD one imported from
la belle France. You'll get a decent one for £600 sterling but can
push the boat out a bit more:

£1k seems a bargain actually and it's gorgeous and what a holiday break!! :D

I just remembered the umbrella handbrake - probably why
I've got a very strong little finger on my left hand from driving
my first ever car - a French racing blue RHD GSpecial! :D

At the next rally, promise to do anything to get to drive a Gs
in anger! It'll be worth it...

Wow, it's actually been a few years now since I drove a Gs in anger.
I think I've just found my New Years' resolution.

How about x2 straight complete G's for €400 to spare them from
being scrapped!?

Shouldn't be allowed to scrap such fantastic cars!

Hi, I am glad to see that there is so much interest in the G's, and hope that someone with the superior skills to mine can eliminate the forum problem.I have had two previous G's the first one was the best a 1015 which really 'flew'. Ihave had the rev counter well into the red at just over 10'000 when accelerating through the gears, the engine was outstanding. I now have a third which I keep off the salty roads and just drive for fun. Gerry

It's a bit depressing seeing these early cars threatened with breaking:

I too like GSs - I think it may be on my shopping list -

Andy, work is moving end of March, which means we need to dismantle an XM soon.

All very tempting but I'm not sure about a LHD car. Still if that's all there is...

Thanks for the info Andrew.

Sorry to drag this up from the past.

Does the flat four GS/A forum even still exsist?

I lost control and access to it a very long time ago now, but maybe just maybe able to wrestle it back.

The issue is, i cant even find the forum online anymore. Any ideas folks?

i kept dropping in there to try and get some activity moving, but no response at all, it was like a ghost town,

this is partly why i asked the admin on here if they could set up a G section on here
which is still running fine
