Post by ashy90 »

Can anybody tell me what size the steel wheels are that are fitted to the Xanta? Also what tyre size is standard? Cheers.

In mine, official papers wheel size is marked as 185x65x15.
I can still use 195 or 205. I think MK1 model have steel wheels size 14".

What Xantia do you have? MK1 or 2, HDI, V6?

Both my previous HDi and my current Activa have worn 205/60/15

The HDi had steel wheels and the Activa has alloys

EDITED: to correct rim size

Toby, I'm certain 16"s aren't a standard fit!

Coincidence with your HDi's - what rim design did they come with then?
The largest OEM wheels are 15".

The base saloon models had 14" then standard 15" on the VSX and Activa
and estate models. Sure, 15" probably got rolled out and updated on later
saloon models over time but steels will always be 14" or 15" as standard
and fitted as the spare.

Tyres are standard spec at 185 65 14 / 205 60 15 with varied varieties of
section to profile permutation.

I've got the set of owner handbooks here so will run through the sizes shown
asap...

Normally the best place to look for the correct tyre size for each particular version of Xantia owned is to look at sticker on the drivers door "A" pillar.

Maybe re-reading the question I didnt fully answer it properly,
hopefully this should help with alternative fitments:

Make : Citroen
Model : Xantia
Year : 93 to 99
PCD : 4x108
Offset : 15 to 20
Bore : 65.1
Fixings : M12x1.25

There are plenty of good wheel comparison sites and ones to dial in different
fitment tyres: when I'm at my machine I'll post a few links; the downside of
a smartphone... :D
