Serious Suspenson Fault

I have a Citroen C5 2.2 HDI (2002). 2 weeks ago whilst sat in the car I lowered the suspension to 'normal'. Since then i have been unable to higher the suspension and now i have a warning saying 'serious suspension fault' and when going over potholes or speed humps the experience is very uncomfortable. Seems to be only the back end that has been effected. Can anyone shine any light on why this may have happened? cheers

First thing to check is the height sensor linkage rod has not come off the sensor, have a look at the rear antiroll bar to see if the linkage is still connected.

Sticky brakes can be a cause of this too.

First question is does the pump run? You should hear it run when you unlock the car or put the suspension in high. If the pump doesn't run check the maxi fuse under the engine relay unit.

Hi there no pump noise, cant get under car to have a look for rod. Seems to have gone down even more. Local garage got no joy on Diagnostics either!

If the pump isn't running check the MAxi Fuses.
