How much LHM do I need?

Post by DHallworth »

How much LHM will it take to fill the reservoir on a Xantia HDi if it's completely empty?

I've just emptied the reservoir on ours and am going to put clean fluid into it.

Just wondered if anyone could give me a rough idea in litres of what it'll take to fill it!

Thanks

David.

Hello David, when I drop all the spheres and remove the reservoir to clean, it seems to take a little under four litres. If you bleed the brakes and whatnot, it might expend another cupful.

Only the reservoir would be around 3.5-4 liters I guess.

Edit: Never filled only reservoir. I would recommend a full fluid replacement.

Recently I gave a Hydraurincage treatment to my Xantia. LHM flushing fluid comes in a 5 liters container.
About 4.5 liters is used including brake bleed process.

I bought ready 5 liters of LHM+ for my next LHM change 8-)

Thanks guys.

I am doing a complete flush on the system so will buy 5 litres just to be safe.
