Hi guys,
I've seen this oil on sale but was wondering if it is good enough for my 99 Xantia that has a 2.0 HDI engine. The car has a catalytic converter and my only concern is -looking around the web- a lot of people say the kind of oil good enough for a car with diesel particulate filter must be ACEA C-rated and this one doesn't seem to have it.
I've looked at Total's website (they only spec the 0W30 but that's only grade?) and there's only an ACEA 2004 : A3 / B4 rating, +API : SL/CF, MB 229.5 and BMW Longlife 01 compliance statement. Here's the link:

They also say it's 100% synthetic and "can be used for all Gasoline and Diesel engines, especially for the most recent engines."
None of this indicates to me, that it cannot be used in a modern diesel engine with DPF. But why is it missing the ACEA's C-rating which obviously has been created for people with DPF as a green light to use it?
So what say you? Good, no good? Much appreciated.
Cheers,
Gabriel

I think I've found the spec sheet for the grade you want but it doesn't seem to be any better.
