wipers only work on slow setting
Noticed this in the torrential rain on the m6 the wipers only work in slow setting. Would this usually be a problem with the wiper motor or is its control system built in like the blower? Rain sensing still works
Love my black v6 xant - only one with cream coloured leather too!

I had problem with the windscreen washers. It was the wiper stalk in my case.
Check my story here --> Xantia II Windscreen washer problem
In your case it would be caused by:
a) the wiper stalk
b) a relay under the dashboard (under trim, above pedals)
see pic. in above link. Mini relays are ticking with stalk functions but I don't know which one is which.

Great! I think it's the Citroen's 'self-repairing' feature once again
I had also sometimes ago ABS error which is cured on its own
I have added some pics (above message link) which are taken during wiper stalk removal.
It would be useful for someone who needs to replace stalk (wiper or lights).
100% valid for Xantia and Xsara.
