xsara hdi keeps running

my xsara hdi keeps running when the key is removed from the barrel and all the dash lights stay on too i thought it must be the barrel but as soon as i stall the car the dash lights go out also

Has any body got any ideas

It COULD be a pressure sensor in the pump, I had this on a Xantia HDi...

The Fuel pump pressuriser UNDER THE BONNET, not the tank pump, theres a sensor in the end of the Pump, up against the fuel filter...

These are know to play up, and cause the running on that you are experiencing...

Theres two Star bit Trox head screws and a single plug on it...

Idealy A lexia session could quite well point you directly to the fault..

A faulty fuel pressure sensor in the fuel rail can cause this also.
