Changing HP pump seals?

Post by Dommo »

Hi folks

I was wondering whether there was anything special I need to take into account in taking out the high pressure pipes out of the HP pump on a '97 VSX 1.9TD? Are there any spring loaded bits that will fire out at me??

Thanks, Dom.

there is a spring, plundger and ball bearing in under the pipe adapter that the seal is under,

but as long as you are carefull it will not fly out, also put a tray under the pump and clamp the rubber supply pipe, as the will reduce the flow of citro blood,

Thanks Malcolm.

My dad tackled this job yesterday while I was still at work using some caution! The new seal along with a new accumulator sphere appear to have stopped the leak at the HP pump.

Thanks again.
