my R reg 1.9TD is one of the last MK1's and has the MK2 rad with those oribl plug in hose's,

it might pay to have the two new hose's availible, as i found the metal end which keeps the seal in place, to be coroded away to the point were it no longer held the seal in place after it was disturbed,

also to gain better access to the bottom hose remove the O/S wheel, wing linner and washer bottle/tank,

Just looking at removing radiator. If we are changing radiator and pipes, would the cheaper one with new hoses not be compatible?

Reading the Haynes manual, it describes removal of radiator without A/C. I can see the rubber bungs securing through radiator bracket onto the intercooler. How is lower end attached? Are there any instructions re - radiator removal with A/C?
