Do I need to change the water pump when replacing the timing belt on my C5? Cheers.
Would I get away without doing replacing the water pump?
Cheers folks.

It's advisable to change it, simply as (assuming there's no sign of leakage typically whitish crusty stuff around its sealing edge) they can start to leak a short time afterwards if you are unlucky.

It's just sensible to change it at the same time really, to avoid another stripdown a few months later.

Up to you though obviously :) , there was no requirement as such to replace it with the timing belt, although it would obviously be inspected at that time.
