Hi there,i have a citroen c5 hdi 2003 exclusive and need the cam belt changed on it,is there any one in the north east willing to do it cheap for me if i get the timing belt?many thanks let us know cheers

When doing the belt get the water pump changed at the same time, also the tensioners if they are showing signs of wear, the DMF pulley too, along with the serpentine belt, tensioner and pulley too.

Increases the cost substantially but it is a lot cheaper than the results if these are neglected. Any of those components failing can be catastrophic - except the water pump - but they are guaranteed to fail 500 miles after the belt change.

If no-one steps forward, I had mine done here soon after buying the car.

No such thing as a cheep job when changing a cam belt.Find a workshop that will work up to a standard rather than down to a price.They would rather supply the parts, then the job is fully guaranteed.When customers supply parts what happens if there is a problem after?Have a look on www.goodgaragescheme.co.uk enter Citroen and your post code.
