I seem to have a stepper motor or throttle
pot on the throttle butterfly shaft . what is it the car now starts cold but will not idle at less than 1200 when hot or 1100 when cold ?? ca anyone help also at the right behind coil pack distributer there are two heat senders, one with one wire the other with two wires what do they do??

The problem has been traced to the idle speed control valve of a weber solex type.

Idle speed control valve has now been replaced and idle speed is now functioning
much better. However it may be worth purchasing a new valve as my second hand one had to be cleaned with carb cleaner before it
workrd properly. This type of valve is prone to failure after around 80000 mls.
