Sat nav probs

Post by candy1567 »

Hi all

Have finally got the sat nav working on C5 (2002) found a site and downloaded the disc work perfectly!!!

BUT, is there anywhere you can change the directions voice, it sounds like an old demented man!!!!

Also, can you search by postcode, or does some kind person have a link to a manual for the sat nav

thanks in advance

Have you tried the female voice? She sounds like a right old battle-axe!

Sorry I can't help you further.

Thanks to all of you who took the trouble to reply

Have managed to sort changing it to the female voice, but still cant search by postcode.

I was thinking that due to the age of the car was search by postcode available back in 2002?

The disk i am using is the latetest one, and if anyone wants it i have the link to all the 10 disks for europe, or i have the image so you can burn it to disk and away you go. The disk is for a C5 2002

Thanks everyone

It don't do search by postcode :-)
and it isn't very good at working out the difference between shortest distance and shortest time route either :-(

However it is very good at giving accurate distance countdowns to junctions, the ones it knows about that is.

Actually, it's just the Australian voice; they built "prise de la pisse" into it.
