Unusual colour

Post by andmcit »

Saw this on ebay and it's a very fetching neon blue metallic and just
wondered if anyone else has seen/or owns a Xant in such a distinctive
colour?

I do remember a Xantia picture in this colour a couple of years back on the forum. I seem to think that one of the photos was taken with it next to a hedge :?:

I do very much like it.

That'd chav up nicely - you could complement the exterior colour with blue hoses under the bonnet. :P

Maybe a faux Gordini white stripe, too?

Interesting how lower spec cars in the UK received painted bumpers yet wore hubcaps. Here, the "food chain" puts alloy wheels on a car long before the supplier deems it worthy of painted bumpers.

Fairly sure that's the same colour as the one at my hotel in Brussels last September. Must check the archives although I suspect that those photo's are on the drive that died :(

Your right there Kev, i remember that too:

It has a similar reg to the car above. I wonder if it was a limited run colour, as it seems quite rare.

I do like that, good to see a Xantia in a nice bright colour.

Ive spotted this one for sale before:

Hi Andy, welcome to the madhouse! When they were first introduced into the
UK the colour that looked best to me was the green so there's little wonder
that a load more were sold in this colour as others felt the same when buying
one - I like the green myself though don't mind seeing the variety of different
colours on Xantiae too.

This blue conjours up Boyracer (Barry Boy) Saxo blue and yes there have
been a fair few Xsaras this colour... not a good thing?

There was a distinctive olive khaki green which I regret not buying on a
TCT estate.

There's the gorgeous Delage and surprisingly silver looks damned fine too!

My xantia is green and it does suit the car nicely. That blue is good too. There is a lovely late s2 dark blue xantia estate by me, but have given up waiting for a for sale sign to appear :)

It's a flip paint primarily only found on Activae that dependent on the light can look fire engine red,
or orange or deep crimson:

One more rarely seen but very nice Xant colour is the lighter minty shade of green:

this isn't the green you think it is - if that was next to this one It'd be
almost black in the shadows!
