I've been looking at a Xantia 1.9td Athena est.1997R
The badge on the front doors has 'Turbo CT' instead of 'Turbo D', what does it stand for?
Another thing whats the Athena got as std equip. compared with ,say, the VSX, as Parkers states the Athena is worth 10-15% less than the VSX
Turbo CT ?

Yep, definately something dodgy about that.
The turbo CT (in the UK anyway) is the same engine as the UK Activa in an estate body with hydractive II suspension.
Either it's had new badges on the doors indicating it's been damaged (both sides?) or it's had the petrol engine replaced or maybe it is a Turbo CT (petrol) wrongly advertised.
Check the filler cap. It should have the fuel type printed around it (or inside the flap somewhere).
I have a later version, (rebadged Exclusive) and even mechanics used to citroens have thought it was a diesel.
Great engine though. 178lb/ft of torque from under 2000 rpm right to 5000rpm. hence the Constant Torque name.
