ESP/ASR Fault C5

Post by oldfruit »

You didn't know that Citroens have Extra Sensory Perception? My Facelifted 2005 V6 Auto does and it's telling me that it's faulty.
For various reasons it is difficult to get it to the dealer's service dept, so I'd be grateful for any words of wisdom.

Check your brake lights are working as they should be & not stuck on. Apart from that it's going to be a Lexia/diagnostic job.

look on this forum for the map of people with lexias and find one near you who might volunteer to look at it for you, a very nice man cleared my codes a couple of weeks back and all gone away,

I was getting the antipollution warning and occasionally the esp/esr fault only thein wrong with the car was jubilee clip missing on pipe mrom MAF,

without a lexia check you will just be throwing money at it for no reason

As veralum suggests, have a look for someone near you with a Lexia and have the codes read & cleared.

Thanks Wheeler. It seems you were spot on.

I gave the brake pedal a good workout and the fault has cleared.

Cheers
