hey all... could anybody possibly tell me if the item for sale in the following link will function in the blaupunkt ph1/d unit fitted to mk1 xantia? it looks as though it plugs into the stereo where the cd changer plugs in,,,? will it function though as an audio input? anybody tried it? anyone have any similar experience?

Not seen that before, but my guess is that it won't work with the Xantia head.

I think you will find that although the connector on the back of the head has audio inputs (which may even be on the same pins), you can't use them unless it establishes dialogue with a genuine CD changer.

Why not use the 3.5mm input on the front of the unit?

Or a Blaupunkt CD changer?

Try finding one! LOL... actually, theres enough units, its the dedicated Xantia connection lead I guess is harder to source..

Looks like that adapter eneables genuine Phono stereo input to the unit, but as you say Xantia_v6, and I agree too, the 3.5mm socket on the front gives adequte output.. I use it all the time with my MP3 player..
