Photo's rather on the large side too - 600-700 pixels wide is best. If you need to display a larger image then post a thumbnail that opens into a full size image.
Original pictures reduced to prevent horizontal scrolling.

I, for one, truly appreciate this Steve. It's got the point I'm likely not to read any page that requires horizontal scrolling, I'm sorry to say.
