Is it possible to retro fit?
Is there a kit available?
Cheers

If the Berlingo can be fitted with cruise at the factory, then it should be possible. Lots of people have done it on Picassos. For a Picasso you need to check for the second brake switch (or 4-wire dual version Wheeler pointed out the other day), then accquire and fit the cruise stalk, then get the car to talk to a Lexia to enable the cruise. Job done. No real reason why the Berlingo shouldn't be similar. Maybe - this is French electronics we are talking about after all!

Re: Retro fitting cruise control to a new berlingo
Not necessarily, whereas cruise could easily be added to my 2.0 HDi 04 Blingo it couldn't to my 1.6 HDi 55 one as the ecu was programmed not to accept cruise, apparently Citroën changed the software between models, I was shown a fax from Cit UK to that effect. No amount of messing about with Lexia or Proxia could alter that (both were tried)Ray wrote:Is it possible to retro fit?
Not easy as the throttle will be fly by wire so unless cruise can be recognised by the ecu you may find it very difficult. Also bear in mind that anything other than a genuine Citroën fitted item will be seriously frowned upon by insurance companies.Ray wrote:Is there a kit available?

Yes mine were the previous models, best to enquire before spending money, I heard that the ability to fit cruise in the UK was deliberately removed from the ECU to stop the practice, I know several dealers that were fitting cruise were "leaned on" by Citroën to cease the practice.Ray wrote:Thanks for the response , DickieG , was your berlingo the previous model?
This one is the late 2010 model. Just thinking if there might be differences in the ecu and software
