blaupunkt stereo help please

Post by i3 »

any body know how i can get the blaupunkt ph1/d stereo in the xantia recoded or decoded? i dont know the code and i have used a code calculator myself, and got three other separate people to find out the code for me on a forum,, and we all get the same code which the radio is not accepting, which means it must have been reprogrammed to something else at some point...
therefore i require someone to reprogram it,,any ideas anyone?

This calculator is known to be a good 'un...

Worked for me twice now :D

Follow the instructions in the thread absolutely precisely

Jim,,the calculator is good indeed :) ,,,it works fine,,and i have followed the instructions exactly,,, i got the exact same code that three other people got,,,however,,as i mentioned,,it seems as though there is some further problem which requires the stereo to be connected to a computer for reprogramming/decoding/recoding....do you know any one that can help in this regard Jim?

I take it you know that having entered the code you must press button 6 to verify the code?

The calculator only works if the stereo is absolutly ALL orgininal..

If its had work donw be a programmer in the past then it wont work from the Serial code!

Ive had a couple like this - due to that, written them off as spares... and bought others off the Bay..

You should be able to get the correct code from this very helpful forum:
http://forum.eserviceinfo.com/viewforum.php?f=8
Have to register first then post make, model, serial number etc. of radio. You will have to remove unit to read serial number etc.
If your radio isn't accepting any more codes leave it swicthed on with ignition for a few hours until it reads "code" again.
Hope they can help.

If this is the stereo from the mark 2 xantia I believe I read somewhere it may be coded to the ecu only to work with original car. Don't know if this is correct, maybe thinking of C5 stereo.

Simon99,

NO thats not the case with Xantias

Thats only the case with C5's onwards... Xantia Mk.2's still use the older "Code in the Radio" system.. and with the case of S2 Xantia Clarion units in they need the Code chip Reading .... and cannot be decoded from the serieal, like Blaupunkts...

If you cannot find a code for that radio don't throw it all away, certainly remove the facia if its OK as the displays are prone to going blank, it might come in handy.

I don't suppose, by any chance, the serial number is also on a label stuck to the printed circuit board?
