luggage guard/dog guard

Post by mooseshaver »

Hello, does anyone know the offical name/part numbers for the roller thingy that goes onto the back of the C5 estate rear seats and when unrolled slotted into mounts below the celing?
I had one in the old C5, and the new C5 does not have one. I wish I had saved my old one from after the flood, but had been put off by warnings of contamination :?
I want it for stopping items flying into the front when seats are folded flat, so a normal dog guard is not suitable

I think it's called a cargo retaining net, there are normally some on ebay but not ATM :(

I'm after a fixed dog guard if anybody knows the whereabouts of one

I had the same problem as you.

Our old C5 estate came with the roller blind style cargo divider. I didnt think about keeping it. The newer estate we have now didnt come with the divider, it must have had one at some point as the brakets were already on the backs of the seats.

I tried all over to get them, scrap yards, breaking C5s on ebay, citroen indys. I was constantly checking ebay but ive never seen one on there.

In the end i ordered one from the dealer. It took a while to get as there was none in the UK. It was £185 from the dealer - and did NOT come with the brackets, so it was lucky our car has them.

Does your car have the brackets? Im not sure if the estate came as standard with this divider?

We have it for the dogs, its ideal as when the dogs are not in it can be rolled down and out of sight. Also very handy with the seats folded to have a divider between the boot area and front seats.

Hi thanks for that, my new one does not have the brackets fitted already. its a VTR so perhaps they don't come with it as standard, but reminds me of my C3 SX. I bought it new, and when the salesman showed me the boot in the little hand over they do, he noticed the plastic moduboot thing and told me it was supposed to have been taken out as its only standard on the exclusive, and not to tell anyone at the garage that I had it!
I think that lump of plastic was £90.

I shall check with a Dealer today thanks.

Our estate is a VTR too, facelift on an 05 plate. Maybe it was optional.

Ill see if i can hunt out the receipt for the one we got.

We have only had it a month so im sure they are still available.

Though you will have to order the brackets seperately, which might be the hard part!
