Does anyone know how toset the service mileage odometer on a 1998 xsara 1.8 16v or do I have to go to a dealer !!!!!

Applies to Xantia, Xsara, Saxo, Berlingo with digital mileometer and service indicator.
Worth pointing out that there are 2 buttons, the one that we want is the one to the right of the lower part of the speedo.
Press and hold button in, turn ignition on. Keeep button pressed in for 5 seconds, then release.
Turn ignition off.
Turn ignition back on and spanner symbol comes up for approx 5 secs.
Turn ignition off.
Thats how I did mine anyway.

many thanks for the information regarding the resetting of the service mileage odometer. I will give it a go when I give it a service

As an aside, does anyone find the service indicators to be a bit dodgy? On the 2 Xsara's I had they used to give apparently random readings, or the spanner would light up every 1500 miles.
The C5 has been ok up to now though.
