c5 2litre hdi 240k
Car runs perfect and just what ive come to expect from a c5 (thats why weve now got 10 of them). Any way got a daft niggle with this one once a week the car puts the light on and goes into limp mode so plug it in and get the following
" Micro dot power drop out"
Go to clear it and it says its permanent and cant be cleared so unplug the scanner and hey presto the light is of and full power back. so plug it straight back in and it now says no codes present and car runs fine for another week
Being doing diagnostics for a couple of years now so ive got a good grasp especialy with c5s but struggling with this one
Any ideas
C5 diagnostic advice wanted

This message presumably emanates from the Snap on tool of which I have no knowledge or experience. So what does it think it's looking at to come up with this message?.
I would assume that if not in the Snap on Manual then at least Snap On must have a list of all messages that the tool will display plus an indication of what it is looking at.
I wonder if it's just flagging a noisy / intermitent supply to the ECU?
Just a thought.
