immobiliser lights

Post by happyg »

Hi again thanks for your help sp far. I have rewired the immobiliser and now get both the red and green lights on, it will take the code but both lights remain on and the engine will not start as there is no fuel supply. My wife started the car and when she went to drive off the engine cut out and would not start again this was the initial fault. Does anyone have any ideas as i'm now beginning to think this is gonna be expensive  Many thanks in advance

If you have both the red and green lights on at the same time (not flashing, just 'on') its normally a communication problem. The keypad is not properly communicating with the immobiliser.

Favourite is one of the big round plugs in the engine bay (not the same as yours but on 406's and 806's the ones near the battery can corrode a bit, I assume Synergie's and Xantias are the same or very similar) yours may have something similar plug-wise. Have a look at them. :)
