Xantia hdi sinking at rear on startup.

Post by Brigsygtt »

Hi all, Just bought myself a new xantia hdi90 on a t reg to replace my current turbo-d.

On startup the rear sinks, rises slowly & stop light takes a fair few secs to extinguish (i think its about 30 secs..). Its an lx non hydroactive model.

The rear doesnt raise up to normal rideheight on the 'sink' test. All the spheres look as old as the hills, could they just need changing or is it a height corrector issue? The ride is fairly firm.

Spheres done, rears looked like originals  had to shock them loose with my ebay special tool & got a douche vert in progress  Seems to have cured it though 8-)

I did have to free off the rear h/c, the ball is slightly loose so will need changing or fixing soon. Im thinking take it off & weld the ball solid to the mech?

douche vert usually means the pressure in the sphere is so low it's not able to overcome the residual pressure in the system to empty the lhm back into the pipes.
