I've got a creaky rear radius arm - probably the bearings drying out though the wheel isn't leaning yet.
What sort of a job is it replacing the bearings once the arm is off?

Probably the most difficult part is removing the outer part of the bearing from the arm, this can be made simple if you have access to a welder, simply run a ring of weld metal around the inside of the bearing, when it cools it will shrink the bearing to the extent that you can lever it out with a couple of screwdrivers.

I managed to remove the outer part of the bearing from the arm using a lump hammer and a drift, latter being a length of 3/4 or 1" dia steel pipe with a good clean unburred end to purchase on the very small protruding lip of the bearing. Just worked progessively round the exposed edge in something like 120 degree increments, and round, and round ........
