Is this a rather nice looking Citroen? A throwback to the good old good old days?
Image

Or a modern re-hash of something that will never be the same again?

Trainman has one.
They've been about for years now so are starting to become a bit more reasonably priced second hand.
Personally they do nothing for me.

I lik'em. Drove Trainman's yesterday and I am very impressed - proper Citroen, unlike the C5.

I'd like to own a C6 as I DO think it's OK but can't help feeling it's just
a modern sanitised microwaved version of one of these:

which is purer in function as well as form and is far more nicerer!!

The 2000 version of the CX in the photo thread looks so much better than the C6 in my opinion.

They're onto something with the chevrons across the width of the bonnet, aren't they?

I know it's just a detail...

I do like the C6, its a very nice car and looks stunning. No doubt it will get more popular as it ages and becomes ever cheaper.

It is a proper Citroen, though i do also think the C5 is too. Its a little more ordinary in looks but its still a Citroen. It does become obvious when you have to get into an 'ordinary' car.

True to Citroens word, they never do a remake of things, every car is a new car and not a redone older car. Which is why Citroen will never make another 2cv or modern day DS.

So i think times move on and the C6 is a very nice car for now, though still isnt as different as the Cxs etc, its a modern Citroen.

If there is one car which, in my opinion, is not a Citroen, its the DS3. I really dont like that car, i dont see any french quirks or charm with it, its quite ordinary and i think its very ugly too.

That 2008 Cx is certainly a conversation opener Xac.

Cannot find any other views to determine if the rear suicide door is pure
Photoshop which would call into doubt anything else in the picture. Only
the bootlid and light is actually non standard!!

I recall a better full width grille chevrons on the original concept Lignage
but this picture shows chromed badges added:

And what about this latest badboy offering:

I really can't decide on that car Andrew, mostly i dont like it, but i guess its very different and modern. Kind of reminds me of the Jag XF in some ways, just more angles and more sleek. Not very Citroen-esk though.

Looks a Very nice car to me

Hey what's this about a C5 not being a proper Citroen??
I've just brought one and didn't see a Ford badge on the back of it!
