C5 - seatbelts not recoiling properly - MOT fail?

I dont know for sure but I think its one of those subjective things....they must retract but I doubt if there is a specified speed per second of retraction, just left to the judgement of the MOT tester.

If they dont retract it is a fail.

Right Oxtail just spoke to my son in law who is an MOT tester.He says the mot book says the seat belts should retract on there own or its a fail.He also says he will pass them if they go back even very slowly in a car,If they don't go back then its a fail.

They retract a bit but not all the way back in.

I'm going out to have a play (armed with tin of polish!) :D

Mr Sheen seems to have done the trick - the seatbelt now seems to retract all the way back in (slowly).
