Oil mist from rear bank

Post by Stempy »

On the V6 I've got the inlet manifold off and the inlets for the rear bank have a mist of oil, where as the front ones are totally clean, should I be worried [-o<
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

Not overly Stempy. I've seem the same but I have no good explanation except perhaps that the design of the inlet manifold send the breather mist to the rear bank in preference to the front due to how the mist separates out in the plenum...

If you look at the exhaust headers, I reckon one bank runs hotter than the other and this may have some bearing...
