A friend at work has a Y-reg Picasso. There is a fault with the electrikery* bit of the ignition lock.
(*technical term)
He had the aerial replaced a while back as the car wouldn't start - wouldn't release the immobiliser, but now his air conditioning won't work.
A friend in Poland had taken it off and cleaned/re-bent the contacts and it worked for a while but has failed again.
Can anyone come up with the proper name of the part and a part number/price for it please and would it be available from anywhere other than the dealer?

I'd have to assume its going to be main dealer only for this, unfortunately.
I could be wrong (perhaps the later vehicles are separate) but the older ones, the whole ignition barrel, well the innards of it anyway come complete.
I mean you get the lock mechanism with the actual ignition switch on the end of it already, its not really meant to be taken off separately, but as I say they might have changed this, certainly the earlier vehicles its all-in-one, complete with a few inches of wire ending in a plug or two.
