C3 Reverse Light Failure!

My girlfriends C3's reverse lights packed up this weekend and I have taken both light units to pieces, checked the fuse under the bonnet and tried swapping bulbs and still no joy?! The only fault I can find is the drivers side wiring seems to not be working as both bulbs work on the passenger side?!

Has anyone any ideas as to how this can be resolved?

If these are wire the same as a BX then there should be a connector that runs across the boot just behind the 'scuttle' panel. My guess would be that some thing has worked loose

Thanks for that "Trainman", will have a look at that later, also getting a mechanic friend to have a look so will see whats what.

Probably more likely to be a faulty switch on the gearbox, unplug it & bridge out the 2 pins with the ignition to confirm it, if the lights come on its a faulty switch.
