Just wondering if the parcel shelf with integral sunblind was a standard fitment or an option, cos mine has a shelf without.
If it was an optional extra, are there model or year differences to be aware of when looking on ebay or in breakers?
Cheers

Note that Mk1 and Mk2 parcel shelves, although interchangeable have different hanger strings.
The Mk1s have a simple string loop that fits over the pegs on the tailgate, and then an elasticated middle section to keep them taught to stop them dropping off the pegs.
The Mk2s have plastic ends on the strings which positively clip onto the pegs, and don't need the elasticated action.
By now the elastic on most Mk1s is perished, and they continually fall off.

Are there different shape/size rear parcel shelves? I'm pretty sure my shelf isn't the right one. It has a sun blind in it, but when you lift it up at the back to put anything in, if you lift it too far, the shelf seems to rub quite badly on the rear seats and then the hinged bits pop out of their slot. Have I got the wrong phase shelf??
