C5 Window with a mind of its own

Post by flatie »

I have a 51 plate 2.2 HDI C5 estate when it rains the o/s window comes down half way, you then have to keep flicking the window button to get it back up it seems like its lost its cut off point tried to reset it but no joy. The battery has been tested and its ok the needle on the voltage meter on the dash seems to favour the right hand side could that be linked?. Any ideas.

Not an uncommon issue!
Disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then reconnect (preferably following the correct procedure posted here a while ago), and you'll probably find that it behaves itself.
