Many thanks Mark.

First thing to do is make sure the wheels are balanced and the tracking is right, also check tyres for lumps or bumps.

Oh and welcome to the forum

Hi Steve,
thanks for that, I have just had it Mot'd, but I guess they may not pick up on a small detail like that. I will check that out on Monday.
Thanks again Mark.

I had this problem with my previous C5. The consensus was that it was wheel balancing. The problem is the wheels are not centred, so most garages can't balance them properly, even with what they say are the correct adaptors. I never could find a place that could do it satisfactory, in my area, and the car dies before I could take it out of the area try.

2002 makes it an early one. There were a lot of problems of the kind you describe on early C5's resulting in much work being done generaly on warranty on the rear suspension. It might be worth going into your local Citroen dealer Tates? and ask them if your car has had all the suspension mods done, they will have records of any work done on your car by a franchised Citroen repairer just give them the reg number or the RPN number.

I assume that you feel this vibration through your seat rather than the steering wheel?

Any signs of unequal or strange wear patterns on the rear tyres.
