C5 Chassis

Post by carlberry64 »

hi
Can anyone tell me if a 2003 model has the same front end chassis as the 2004-2008 model. I know The bonnet, bumper, lights and front panel are different.
The reason i ask is my front end has light damage and my body repair shop said if i get 2 short chassis legs he can fix it without the expence of getting all the individual parts from citroen.
I have looked on citroen parts caterlog and they seem to be the same front parts except for a couple small parts that dont make a differance.

Any info would be greatfull
Thanks

I believe it would be fair to say that under the skin the differences between the Mk1 and Mk11 are minor at least in the area you are interested.

CAVEAT

This NOT based upon any practical experience of chopping and changing bits between the two, more from hours of poring over parts list's and drawings trying to work out suspension related changes between the two models.

i dont know for sure,

all the main sections do come up with the same part No.'s for MK1 and 2,

but looking at the drawings for MK1 and 2 on service citroen, there are some diferances between the shape of some of the small panle sections,

so in saying all that it might be ok
