The clutch pedal on my 1.4 8v 05 C3 seems to be too high yet the clutch is not worn. It does not slip and will stall if lifted right up. Hill starts are easy too so even though its done 30K I do not think the clutch itself is finished.
The pedal is actually higher than the brake by nearly an inch and there does not seem to be any way to adjust it?
The clutch mechanism is hydralic and no adjustors on either end that I can see?
I believe the clutch is supposed to be self adjusting? If this is correct is there any way to ensure this is working as it is clearly not correct.
Any ideas?
Thanks
C3 Clutch Pedal Height????

Hi,
The clutch is hydraulic and therefore at its highest position the clutch pedal should come up against a firm stop which is part of the peadal bracket.
Normally the bottom edge of the clutch pedal foot rest is about half to threequaters of an inch higher than the bottom edge of the brake pedal foot rest.
The tops of the footrests are at the same height (pedals are at a slightly different angle).
