2001 Xantia 2.0 HDi Glow Plugs - How?

Post by Jacob2112 »

Can anyone tell me how these are removed? I do know they look a lot easier than on my previous 97 1.9TD so plan to change myself. I'm fitting NGK's. following some really poor starting, which has only improved marginally after sticking a new £70 battery in!!

Also, I can't find the fuel "bleed" to let water out of the system - it's shown in the handbook but I'm blowed if I can see it

Thanks

I'm not absolutely certain, but on my 90Hdi I think it's the vertical 'canister' in front of the top of the engine, with a tap underneath. I've not tried operating this myself, not sure if there are any precautions to take.

Sorry can't go out to look, hammering down, tempest expected tonight.

Merci for that! So frustrating that handbook doesn't make clear. Once I've got it sorted AND found out how to do the glow plugs, I think I'll be uploading my first Youtube effort!!!
