I have searched the forum and can't find any floor-to-wheelarch measurements to set the ride height.
It's a Xantia 1.9td estate 1998, it was too low for sure and adjusted now by eye till wheel arches are just above the rear tread, the compensators are serviced now and it all works fine but I still think it's a tad too low at the back.
Rather than guessing, does anyone have any ride height measurements?
Thanks, Greg.

Hi Addo, addo wrote:Yes, they are on the forum.
I have previously posted images showing clear measurements and given some information about the conditions upon which those measurements were taken.
Possibly skog (the Norwegian guy) started one thread about it where the pics were.
Yes I found those threads but the images don't work and I couldn't make sense of the site as it's not English. Or it looked like it was just what I wanted! Shame.

Thanks Addo, Old-Guy fantastic website - great resource thank you. This is different to the links I was looking at before where the pictures have expired and i didn't find it on my search so much apprecaited!
I'll check the ride height on friday in the workshop, will be nice to know I got it right rather than guessing.
Cheers, Greg.

FYI for anyone interested (I'm sure that this is known, but...), the rear compensator had got stuck previously and I had to free it off/flush out the rust/lube it up to get it working which it does nicely now. The plastic link arm and the clamp are fine and everything works, but either due to general wear or previous fiddling by someone the rear 'normal' ride height was way too low - the tyre still up in the arch - on the rear.
All it took was an alteration of the clamp to restore ride height, so if anyone has similar symptoms it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong with the system other than a service of the height compensator and adjustment of the ARB clamp to determine ride height.

Here are a couple of different ride height guides - the first one is from the Haynes book of lies and is a rough guide:

The second is 3 pages I scanned from Citroen service manuals which are more precise for different models and tyres but involve a bit more work to calculate, but if you want to be really accurate, use these:
