I always push things right inken newbold wrote:If you have a multimeter, you could test th sensor at the connectors, not sure what the resisance should be, but if it's open circuit, it's no good.
When you refitted the sensor, did you push it right in?

Just thought I'd give an update and thanks to all who posted.
1:
Rev counter working.Found continuity break near the central connector.Chopped wires back and soldered on new Auto bullet connectors.
Rev counter works and no flutter. This was after cleaning and pushing tight the sensor as well.
Revs at 1500 around 30 Mph in 4th which i think is correct?
2:Central locking sorted.Switch cleaned,
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=27515
Fob+new batteries and bent contact tang back up and scotch brighted contact surfaces.
3:Lazy Electric door switches pulled out as above with switch cleaner into plugs and sockets.
Have 2nd hand gearbox on the way to cure 3rd gear problem and then just the rear screen washer to fix(Most likely blocked somewhere.Wiper works. Then she'll be 100%.
Still loving this little wolf-in-sheep's clothing
Running Miller's additive just to see if any good.Read no bad reports of the stuff so we shall see.
Been getting a bit of back ache from seats so sent for a lumbar support,

Which I can hide with luck under the seat covers
