New Xantia into the family

Post by trooper30 »

Well after her car crash and now the insurnce have coughed up my wife has got herself a 2000 Forta Hdi 90 with an amazing 72,000 on the clock with FSH and is well please with it. Few little niggles with it though. Horn doesnt work and none of the interior lights work and now and again the dash light comes up STOP and the overheating light comes on. Recon a Lexia will clear that up as I had the STOP overheating thing on 2 other Xantias in the past.

At least i hope it aint owt major as I am abut to take it on the journey from Milton Keynes to Newcastle and back

So hear it is, and the next time you see apic of it it will be cause somthings fell off it.

Hi trooper30

RE: Temperture warning light and STOP... Ive had this on going problem on a HDi 110bhp. I did a lexia session but only came up with a short circuit on the SLOW running cooling fan relay!

Did an Item Test and the slow speed fans do not work ok the car.. Im wondering if thats the problem, how ever this weekend according to the owner with this extra cold spell we been having its not flashing as often.

I have chenged the Temperture sender on the side of the thermostat house, and the level sensor in the coolant bottle, both to no affect.

Next job will be to look at this slow running problem..

Looks very tidy, nice colour and a late S2. Im sure it will prove a good reliable car, the HDis are pretty good engines.
