Do you know if the correct oil was used?

All i can think its its just a fault sensor, something this can happen when the oil gets a bit dirty or something.

When you turn the car on, there is a little digital gauge which appears on the dash, which shows how much oil is in. I find this to be sometimes innacurate from one time to the next. All of the HDis ive had have told porkies sometimes.

Or do you mean the oil light is coming on?

Defective oil level sensor. Allegedly a common problem.

Hi,

On level ground what is the level of the oil on the dip stick.

You only need it to be down a short distance from the full mark for the dashboard indication to read low.

Regards

I'm thinking that is the issue to be honest.
Just put half a litre in as it was on min mark on dipstick and it's not done it since.
How bloody sensitive does the thing need to be?!
