2000 Citroen XM V6 Exclusive

Post by DHallworth »

As requested from brmartyn, here's the pictures of the XM Exclusive that I am bringing home from Malaysia. The car is owned by a fellow Citroen enthusiast over there.

It started it's life in England and was taken to Malaysia by it's one and only keeper from new in 2004. So it was a british registered car!

It's one of the last XM's to be made and has 48k miles on the clock.

The pictures are below:

There`ll be no rust either mate. Interior is lovely. It`s got a sunroof.

You won`t need that in Langbank [-X

There's not a spot of rust on it.

When the car lived in the UK it was kept in a heated garage. If there was any salt on the roads the seller used his Diesel XM and kept this one in the garage.

In Malaysia it has lived in an air conditioned dehumidified garage so that it's never been attacked by moisture either.

I reckon it must be the tidiest XM left.

That would be a 2.5 DERV then: Heres her current status:

The enquiry is complete
The vehicle details for M778 SAB are:

Date of Liability 01 07 2002
Date of First Registration 05 08 1994
Year of Manufacture 1994
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2445CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Heavy Oil
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour NOT STATED
Vehicle Type Approval

Unlicensed, so either sitting somewere unloved, or scrapped and not declared...

If TopDonkey had Sold it say approx. 5 or even 6 years ago I'd presume he was using it at the time and maybe had some road tax still left on it, please confirm If you read this post ?
So why is the search stating liability due on Date of Liability 01 07 2002 (so that's when the road tax expires) there's too much of a gap there making more like approx. 7-1/2 years since the road tax expired, unless the DVLA have got their records wrong which is not unusual !

I agree !

What's that all about/for spoils it big time, but as already stated a very nice and rare XM Exclusive with a low mileage !

David, BTW I've not seen these photo shot's up-loaded on the XM Forum to date

Very nice! 8-) In that condition they can still hold there own for appearance against new cars, and of course be better in all other respects :D

Doh!, it seems time has gone a bit faster that i thought !, it only seems like i sold it 5 years ago, but i bought it 2 years old for £16,000 with 19,000 miles on the clock and drove it for 4 years upon which time i sold it with 320,000 miles on the clock, so it was actually nearer 11 years ago i sold it

It was the best and most comfortable car i have ever owned, not the most economical as it only did about 34mpg, but a really good drivers car
