2002 Saxo Furio Wont Start.
i bought a 2002 furio for £1600 and managed to crash it on the day after buying it. It wasnt a big smash but i had to get myself a new bumper, bonnet, radiator, fan and healights. i managed to pick these parts up cheap from a scrapyard so no problems there but now a few days after fixing it, it wont start. It turns over but just wont start. Iv changed the spark plugs and still no luck. Iv had a mates dad look at it who is a mechanic but he recons its something to do with electrics coz he cant see a problem. any one else had this problem advice would be great cheers.

If you lift the bonnet there's a plunger type switch at the back of the engine bay. Usually with a red rubber cap on it.
Switch the ignition on, press that switch then try starting it again.
It's a safety fuel cut off which needs to be reset after it has detected it's
been in a bump.
This picture is of an Activa engine, at the back corner of the bonnet on the drivers side you can see the red switch, it'll look like this:

If it's been running since the accident then I doubt it so scrub that answer!
If it's anything like the 306 then on the chassis leg ont he passengers side of the car there is a big multi plug that joins the engine loom.
When my brother had an accident his wouldn't start and it was because the radiator has disturbed this clip.
Might be worth unplugging it and plugging it in again incase it's become dislodged over the last few days.
At least there should be easy enough access to it on a Saxo!

You just tend to learn a lot when you run french cars!

the multiplug is about 2 inches accross and iirc is on the N.S chassis leg, it could be that, make sure all is well, it unscrews.
The other thing that it could be is the fabled main relay, sits under the ECU, made sure its clicking when the ignition is turned on etc...
i wouldnt miss checking the inertia switch either it doesnt always have a red cover, sometimes black
