FANTASTIC! Thats good news, glad you also found the water way in...
Get it sealed up again and all should be well.. if you look below the scuttle on the passenger side, you can see the blower motor inlet - its across here were the most important sealent it needed to seal the scuttle... but good practice to do it all across...

Not on early cars Jim, Air Con is rare on early cars, becomming standard during 1997, when the sunroof was deleted..CitroJim wrote:
It never crossed my mind that yours might be a non-aircon model... A rarity!

Thanks for that Paul; explains why my latest acquisition has a sunroof but no aircon. My red Activa was a special, having both...citroenxm wrote: Not on early cars Jim, Air Con is rare on early cars, becomming standard during 1997, when the sunroof was deleted..

I have just finished re-bonding the scuttle panel. After taking the panel off I could see exactly what had been going on.citroenxm wrote: Get it sealed up again and all should be well.. if you look below the scuttle on the passenger side, you can see the blower motor inlet - its across here were the most important sealent it needed to seal the scuttle... but good practice to do it all across...
There was a crack right in line with the blower inlet that was letting water drip right in there...
I suspect it was down to the windscreen fitter being a bit heavy handed with it when he removed it.
Anyhow all fixed up now, with a nice bead of Sika flex all the way along and the same on the crack, inside and out.
just in time as it has started to rain now.
I also managed to get the corroded connector apart... It disintegrated in my hands, it was a real mess. It must of been shorting across all the connections.
I cut it out and replaced it with terminal blocks and all seems good.
The annoying thing now is, I can't turn the alarm on under the bonnet. The same thing happened with my door locks too, the key will just spin in the lock.
