Clarion cd connector lead

Post by Blackdog »

Recently I posted a thread regarding the decoding of a 99 xantia 4035rds audio system...its been a real run around..from finding out that it cant be decoded through the forums available calculator...to kindly forum members offering to decode it ...to also contacting the stealers who wanted £35....so mananged to buy myself one second hand on line with RADIO CODE...AND clarion 6 cd changer for £15 quid!! Nice one! ...my question is....it looks like a 13 point plug at the back of the radio only spare socket that must be for the cd radio connector cable (the one I have bought comes without the connector cable) Ive been online looking for the right one and its a minefield....sooooo many to choose from..but which is the right one?? I contacted clarion direct yesterday with my quiery and they said they would get back to me in a couple of days...but I bet with the right information I can get one on line much cheaper...so anyone know the item..number...whatever for this cable and any hints on how to fit it?? Many Thanks..... Blackdog

When I say "fit it " I mean best way to run it round to rear passenger doors holding slot for cd changer there are 2 heavy duty bands there which I pressume are for the clarion changer (this car didnt have one when I bought it)...on only glancing..Im thinking wow..that could mean alot of panel carpet removal to fit that thing without seeing it...hence why I posted "any hints on fitting it"..havent really looked so forgive me if this sounds stupid.

I can't help with the cable but the factory fit Clarion CD changer is fitted on the offside in the boot, towards the back of the car. It feels solidly mounted and has a cloth cover over it with an openable lid for access. The connector lead dives behind the boot trim and heads off up the driver's side of the car at floor level. If you peel the trim back you may find some inbuilt fixings.
