unbeliveable..CHANGED front wheelbearings...intermediate bering...drive shaft...and to top it all a gearbox !!! and guess what ... ive still got that bloody whining/droning going round left handed corners but also a noticeable drone on braking upto a junction??? new discs and pads on 18 months ago whine sarted last august, so not a braking prob..still perfect conditon. now there is no play/noise in rears they spin nice i just dont no lots of posts on this its got me..any other idears?ive seem to have done everthing and more not even citroen cuold help!![V]

My guess would be the R/H rear weelbearing then.
It's notoriously difficult to tell where noises are coming from while driving. Your best bet is to get someone else to drive while you sit in the middle of the back seat.

ye good point ...but already been in the boot!!!! over both wheels getting tossed and turned in process still cant put a possition on it .. cheers for advise though. guro dave was right though it wasnt gearbox DOH..
