Hi guys,
Mate's got a 98 Saxo 1.1 and the exhaust has dropped off - failed at the joint where the pipe goes in the cat. I see AS list a 'Cat repair pipe' for the Saxo - what does this consist of? Anybody any idea if I am likely to be able to weld it back together??
Cheers
Richard

Many moons ago, when I had a 1.1 Saxo the exhaust went at the joint between the backbox and the pipe. The exhaust is one piece from before the CAT right up to the backbox joint. When I had it done the exhaust place said they had to order a repair pipe and ended up joining the repair pipe to the old pipe about half way along the car and this provided me with a new joint to mount a new backbox.
I suspect the pipe GSF sell will be what I've described above. If its gone before the CAT then your only option is to weld it if you can, otherwise you're looking at a full pipe including cat which isnt going to be cheap.
